Across the District, people are getting ready for Conference '10.
District Superintendent Hodgins and his office, the Director of Silver Lake and his staff, the pastors and people from across the district ... all are starting to sense the air of expectation that happens when we come together for both business and worship.

Just like last year

The business sessions of conference (Friday afternoon and Saturday morning), will once again be embedded in a highly charged set of worship services that start Friday and run through Monday.

Guest Speakers:
Dr. Rev. Eric Hallett, (Lead Pastor of Centennial Road Standard Church)
Dr. Brian Russell (Asbury Theological Seminary) - www,realministries.org

Worship Leader:
Rev. Bert McCutcheon, (Roblin Wesleyan Church)

Pastors, we hope you are planning on staying for the weekend, and that you are encouraging your delegates to do the same.

Dr. Eric Hallett

Eric was born in Woodstock New Brunswick and has served in a variety of roles within churches over the past 18 years. Upon completion of his Bachelor’s degree in 1990, He began his ministry as a short-term mission coordinator based out of Indianapolis, IN, and Birmingham, England.

He then journeyed to Wilmore Kentucky and completed a Master of Divinity Degree at Asbury Theological Seminary. While at Asbury, Eric met the love of his life, Kimberly, who was born in Chicago, IL, and grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Eric served as a part-time youth pastor, part-time factory worker, full-time student, and husband during his seminary years.

In 1995, Eric and Kimberly moved to Bangor, Maine, and planted a church from scratch that became Pathway Wesleyan Church. It was during the Bangor years that Eric and Kimberly’s first three children were born, Karaline 1996, Courtney, 1998, and Jeremy, 2000.

In December of 2000, Eric was accepted into a prestigious doctoral program, The Beeson Pastor Scholarship, once again through Asbury Theological Seminary. Eric travelled to prevailing churches all over the world meeting church leaders with a passion for sharing the message of Christ in new and creative ways.

Following a year of study in Kentucky, Eric completed his doctoral dissertation over the next three years at the Orando, Florida, Dunham Campus of Asbury while also serving as the Executive Pastor of University Carillon United Methodist Church. A church of 1,600 people in weekend attendance just across from the University of Central Florida. It was also in Florida that Eric and Kimberly’s fourth child, Samara was born in 2004.

In 2005, Eric and Kimberly moved to Saint John, New Brunswick, to serve as Lead Pastor of Saint John First Wesleyan Church. While serving in Saint John, Eric also served as an adjunct professor with Bethany Bible College in Sussex, NB.

Eric is passionate about helping people live abundantly as followers of Christ engaged in the mission of God in the world. In addition to deep love and commitment to family and Centennial Road Church, Eric is a avid reader in church planting, leadership, and current social issues. Eric has served and led short-term mission teams in England, Austria, Hungary, Germany, Mexico and Haiti. He is a member of Delta Alpha Chi and the Order of Kentucky Colonels. He is honoured to hold these titles along with his ordination and his Doctoral degree but Eric simply prefers to be known as Pastor Eric and has a burning passion to see Centennial Road prevail and grow as a mission to reach thousands of people in the St. Lawrence Valley for Christ.
